Jaguar Land Rover names nine UK sites and seven of them are in the Midlands. Whitley in Coventry is the global headquarters, with Powertrain Engineering and the sales, finance and HR teams. Gaydon in south Warwickshire is the design and engineering heart: some 4 million square metres with test tracks and climatic wind tunnels.
Smaller specialist sites sit close by. Oxford Road in Ryton-on-Dunsmore holds JLR Classic, which builds, restores and services heritage Jaguars and Land Rovers, with the SV Technical Centre for bespoke paint on the same road. Fen End, on the old RAF Honiley airfield near Kenilworth, is the home of SV's headquarters, its engineers and a test track.
Further west the work is production. Solihull has made Land Rovers since 1947 and in September 2026 JLR unveiled the Range Rover Electric there, built on site. Castle Bromwich, once the Jaguar car plant, is turning its press shop over to body panels for every JLR brand. Battery units are assembled at Hams Hall near Coleshill. Engines and battery packs come from the Electric Propulsion Manufacturing Centre at i54, Wolverhampton.
