The home
Stoke Lodge is a new-build, four-bedroom house in Lower Stoke, Coventry, sleeping up to nine guests in three king-size beds, two single beds and a sofa bed. It has two bathrooms and free on-street parking, so a contractor crew or a project team can share one front door, cook together and still get a proper night's sleep.
It is a whole house rather than a hotel room. There is a fitted kitchen, a living room with a 55-inch Smart TV and Netflix and French doors on to an enclosed garden at the back. Electricity, gas, water, Wi-Fi and council tax are included in the price and fresh bed linen and towels are ready when you arrive.
Coventry city centre and Coventry station are each about 2 miles by road from the house, with Coventry University about a mile away and Jaguar Land Rover's Whitley site about 3. Stoke House, its neighbour, has the same layout, so a larger team can book both and stay together.

Inside the house
Three of the four bedrooms have a king-size bed. The fourth has two single beds, which suits two colleagues who would rather not share, and the sofa bed in the living room takes a ninth guest. Every bed is made up before you arrive.
The largest bedroom sits at the top of the house under a sloping ceiling, with a dormer window, a 43-inch Smart TV and its own shower room. It is the natural choice for the site manager or whoever is staying longest.
Below it, the family bathroom has a bath with a shower over it. With the top-floor shower room as well, two people can get ready at once before an early start.
The fitted kitchen has a built-in fridge, a kettle and a toaster, plus pans, utensils, crockery, glasses and cutlery for proper meals after work. The living room has the sofa bed, a 55-inch Smart TV with Netflix and French doors that open on to the garden.
A built-in washing machine, a steam iron and an ironing board make a week or a month away easy to manage. Parking is free on the street, so there is no car park to pay for at the end of a shift.
