Heritage cars and bespoke paint

Two JLR operations share Oxford Road in Ryton-on-Dunsmore, south-east of Coventry. JLR Classic builds, restores, converts, sells and services heritage Jaguars and Land Rovers there. On the same road the SV Technical Centre is JLR's flagship site for SV Bespoke paint and personalisation.

Both are on Prologis Park Ryton, the business park laid out on the old Ryton car factory, which the Rootes Group opened in 1940 and Peugeot closed in the winter of 2006 to 2007. OpenStreetMap places the Classic Works building on Imperial Road inside the park.

Classic and SV work is skilled and often booked by the project: paint specialists, restoration technicians, parts developers and the engineers who support them. A furnished house gives them a kitchen and a quiet room after a day in the workshop.

Humber Hub is our house nearest Ryton, about 3 miles by road, with free off-road parking. From Stoke Lodge, our house next door to Stoke House, it is about 4 miles by road.

The park lies between the A45 and the A423. Ryton Pools Country Park is close by for an evening walk.
