Students from Nuneaton mostly look south for degrees, to Coventry University in the city centre and the University of Warwick on the city's south-west edge. The town's own King Edward VI became a sixth form college in 1974.
Trains make the trip easy. Services from Nuneaton run through Bedworth and Bermuda Park, a station opened in 2016 under the NUCKLE scheme for the Nuneaton, Coventry, Kenilworth and Leamington line. Express trains to London call at Nuneaton too.
Our nearest house to Coventry University is Stoke Lodge, next door to Stoke House, about a mile by road. For the Warwick campus the same pair is closest, about 5 miles by road from the house.
On graduation day a whole house lets everyone stay together: breakfast at home, the car parked free and room to change before the ceremony.
