View propertyThe university that is not in Warwick
The University of Warwick is named after the county, not the town: its campus is several miles north of Warwick, on Coventry's southern edge. For a graduation, a base in Coventry is often the more practical choice.
Warwick has schooled children for a very long time. A grammar school stood in the town before the Norman Conquest and Henry VIII re-founded it as Warwick School in 1545; it now belongs to the Warwick Independent Schools Foundation with the King's High School for Girls and Warwick Preparatory School.
Our nearest house to the campus is Stoke Lodge, next door to Stoke House, about 5 miles by road. The same pair is our nearest house to Coventry University, about a mile by road.
After the ceremony, Warwick Castle and the Lord Leycester Hospital on the High Street fill an afternoon; in the evenings St Mary's Church hosts early music concerts.
