View propertyBorough Hill and the birth of radar
The BBC put a transmitter on Borough Hill in 1925 because the spot reached most of England and Wales. By 1990 it had 43 masts; it closed in 1992 and most of the hill became a country park, with the town's golf club playing across its side.
On 26 February 2010, 75 years after the first radar demonstration, the Coventry Amateur Radio Society and the Northampton Radio Club re-enacted the Daventry Experiment from a replica Morris van at the Birth of Radar memorial at Litchborough.
Daventry Country Park, around a canal reservoir, has walks, a nature trail, a play area and a café. Daventry Town FC play non-league football at the Master Abrasives Stadium.
Humber Hub takes ten, Stoke Lodge and Stoke House nine apiece and Sullivan Heights six. The houses take no parties or events and no smoking indoors.
