Bedworth has no university; Nicholas Chamberlaine School, whose old pupils include the musician Pete Doherty, is among its secondaries. Degree courses mean Coventry University in the city centre or the University of Warwick on the south-west edge of Coventry.
Bedworth station, closed under the Beeching cuts in 1965 and reopened on the same site in 1988, has an hourly West Midlands Railway train each way between Nuneaton and Leamington Spa, calling at Coventry.
Coventry station handled nearly 6.5 million passengers in 2023 to 2024, second only to Birmingham New Street in the West Midlands. Our nearest house to Coventry University is Stoke Lodge, beside Stoke House, about a mile by road.
For the ceremony itself a whole house keeps the family together, with breakfast at home and free parking for the car.
