View propertyHealth care around Hinckley
Hinckley has two hospitals of its own, served by the hospital radio station Castle Mead Radio. Local workers paid a penny a week to keep the older one going until the NHS took it over in 1948.
Acute care comes from George Eliot Hospital on the edge of Nuneaton, a few miles west along the A47, whose trust covers north Warwickshire, south-west Leicestershire and north Coventry.
University Hospital Coventry at Walsgrave opened in July 2006 in place of the old Walsgrave Hospital and became one of the West Midlands' four trauma units in March 2012. Our nearest house to it is Sullivan Heights, about 2 miles by road; the same house is about 8 miles by road from George Eliot.
Stagecoach route 148 links Hinckley with Nuneaton and Coventry. Every house has self check-in, a kitchen and a washing machine for shift work.
