Apartment blocksA whole block, one conversation.
Blocks of flats suit working guests well: separate front doors, a kitchen each and a building that is easy to look after. Talk to us about the whole block or the flats you want to place.
Why blocks work
Flats that let guests keep their own space.
A team working on the same project often wants to be together without sharing a bathroom. A block gives each guest a flat of their own under one roof. It also gives us one building to clean, check and maintain.
That is why blocks sit high on the list of what we want to hear about, whether it is a converted house of four flats or a purpose-built building.
Your options
Three ways a block can work.
One company let for the block
Maine Property Solutions leases the block on one company let agreement and pays you one fixed monthly sum for the lot.

Each flat is run as serviced accommodation, with bookings, cleaning and a monthly statement across the building.

The block is introduced to investors on the Maine Property Solutions list without a listing. The buyer pays the fee.

What a block needs in place.
- Consent from the mortgage lender for the use you choose
- The freeholder's consent where the flats are leasehold
- Buildings insurance that permits the use
- Current gas, electrical and fire safety certificates for the building and each flat
- A planning position that allows it, which we check with you
Part of a block
Not the whole building? That works too.
If you own several flats in a larger block, or a developer is holding some back, the same routes apply flat by flat. Tell us how many you have and where they are.
Tell Us About It
Tell us about the property.
Where it is, what it is like and what you would like to happen. Pick a time and we call you back about next steps.
- No fee to talk and nothing to sign
- Your details stay with us
- A call at the time you choose

Questions
Questions owners ask.
Can you take every flat in the block?
Yes. A whole block can sit on one company let agreement or be managed flat by flat, whichever suits you.
What if some flats are already let?
Tell us which ones. Occupied flats stay as they are and the vacant ones can start on the route you choose.
Who looks after the common parts?
That depends on the route and on your freeholder or managing agent. It is agreed in writing before anyone signs.
Is there a fee to talk it through?
No. The first conversation is free and there is nothing to sign until you decide.
Tell us about the block.
Send the details to Maine Property Solutions: where it is, how many flats and what you want to happen.
