The former Meggitt works off Holbrook Lane covered 65 acres in the north of Coventry. It is being redeveloped in pieces, with homes, a business park and the old playing fields kept as open space for the area.
Persimmon launched Whitmore Place on the old factory land in March 2022: 347 homes, 73 of them affordable, from two-bedroom apartments to four-bedroom detached houses. By January 2023 the West Midlands Combined Authority was reporting permission for 500 homes on the land.
Chancerygate is building Holbrook Business Park alongside. A £15 million WMCA investment in 2023 funded a second phase of 14 units on another seven acres, with around 295 jobs expected on top of some 200 from phase one.
