Placements
How a whole home fits a placement.
Some households need a ground-floor bedroom, some need room for a carer and some are simply large. Telling us the household's needs at the start means we only offer a home that fits.
Council staff, agency workers and contractors on council projects need somewhere to stay too. The same whole houses can be booked for a project team as well as for a household.
The authority
Placements for Stratford-on-Avon.
Stratford-on-Avon District Council is the housing authority for Stratford-upon-Avon, Alcester, Southam, Shipston-on-Stour, Wellesbourne, Henley-in-Arden and Long Itchington.
Our homes are in Coventry, north of the district, with a third in Brierley Hill.
Stratford-on-Avon is a large rural district, from Stratford-upon-Avon and Alcester in the west to Southam and Long Itchington in the east. Placements there often turn on transport as much as on the home itself, so tell us which part of the district matters to the household.

Who books the home?
The council. Placement terms are agreed with the council in writing before the household arrives.
Can you take short-notice requests?
Call 024 7745 0677. Short-notice placements depend on which homes are free that day.
What should we send first?
The household size, the bedrooms needed, the area and the likely length of stay. Please leave out names and personal details until a home is confirmed.

Is a placement in your homes outside our district?
Yes, for our Coventry homes. Section 208 of the Housing Act 1996 then requires notice to Coventry City Council as the receiving authority. We can confirm the home's details for that notice.

Can landlords in Stratford-on-Avon District offer homes for placements?
